WordPress plugin

Beacon

The free companion plugin that connects your WordPress site to the DashWP dashboard.

Once installed and connected, Beacon lets you manage your WordPress site remotely from DashWP - updates, users, security and PHP errors - safely, over a connection you control.

What you can do

  • Monitor and apply updates for plugins, themes and core.
  • Manage users and log in to the admin with one click.
  • Watch PHP errors as they happen on the site.
  • Apply security hardening measures.
  • Read system information.

How it works

  1. Install Beacon from WordPress.org, or upload the plugin ZIP.
  2. Activate it and open Plugins - Beacon - "Connection management" to get a connection key.
  3. Add the site in the DashWP dashboard using that key (or a WordPress user and application password).

Every action runs only over an authenticated connection established by you. Without a valid connection the plugin executes no commands.

Requirements

  • A DashWP account - Beacon is the bridge to the dashboard.
  • WordPress 5.6+ and PHP 7.4+.

Privacy & data

Beacon exchanges only what is needed to manage the site - versions and lists of plugins, themes and core, users, system information, captured PHP errors and the state of the security measures - and only in response to an authenticated request from the connected dashboard. See the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
